If you are a candidate for Invisalign, our dentist will take X-rays, pictures, and digital impressions of your teeth so a 3D image of your smile can be created. Our dentist will use the 3D image to create your exact treatment plan. This will include the exact movements of your teeth and the approximate length of your treatment. For adults, Invisalign usually takes about a year and for teens, treatment time is similar to that of traditional braces. Using your treatment plan as a guide, a series of clear aligners are made for your specific case. The aligners are made of smooth, comfortable plastic that will not irritate your gums and cheeks.
